This game features online high scores!
You have triggered the apocalypse. Everyone is salty about it. Fight them off and prevent their revenge before the storm cloud reaches you and engulfs the world in darkness.
You have a base, which you can pick up and move around to better collect ore and to protect it from the other survivors. They also have bases. Destroy them.
You can't fire when you are holding ore or your base. When you set your base down, make sure it is out of harm's way. Scorpions and other survivors will try to destroy it if you let your guard down.
You share a health bar with your base.

Note: The source contains a different id for the highscore system, to prevent score tampering.
Update: Since the compo, the option to close the game with the escape key from any screen has been added. No option to exit the game from the menu existed before.

Ah okay, hopefully you'll be able to fix it.
A lovely pixel art style combined with highscore hunting in the desert? Count me in. :D That was some excellent pew-pew-pew fun and even though I'm no longer in the top 10 (damn it!), I found your game really entertaining. :) It really pays off to collect as much ammunition as possible in order to start the 'work' afterwards. >:) Thanks a lot for this cute little game, I had a lot of fun with it and so I recommended it in one of our compilation articles about Ludum Dare 42. <3 One minute of gameplay can also be seen in the following video. :D Good job!
